Dennis Kucinich Drops 2008 Presidential Bid [25 Jan 2008|01:42am]

[ mood | enraged ]

This is the saddest news I have heard in a very long time. :(

Video announcement here: -> Click!

I guess this would allow Rep. Kucinich to focus on what's really important - his constituency.

It's a sad, sad day indeed.

Protesting at the SC Debate [22 Jan 2008|04:03pm]

So, here is one of my videos from protesting at the SC debate last night. It was awesome. I was interviewed several times by several different news stations and newspapers, mostly from Charleston, SC and the Associated Press. I've seen myself on TV and in at least one newspaper. A little bit of justice makes me feel a LOT better.

Even if Kucinich is excluded from the debate, his ideas still have a voice. Maybe in 2012 people will vote for him and we'll finally have environmental security, gay rights, a global image of a peaceful America, and healthcare for everyone.

What a horrible, horrible country we live in. [15 Jan 2008|08:51pm]

This is the most infuriated I've been in a very long time. I can barely express my anger right now, but you all probably know what I would say anyway. "...would keep the others honest, would allow for more perspective, would open debate to important topics rather than practiced monologues, would finally give him a chance, etc, etc." I was all set for a historic night.

Court overturns its ruling, allowing MSNBC to exclude Kucinich from tonight's debate.Collapse )

I hate living in such an undemocratic country. Let's just have Bush pick our next president.

Are you all watching the Democratic debates right now? Kucinich is receiving little airtime, but everything he says is amazing! What do you all think?

It's Edwards, Obama, Kucinich in California Dem Council Straw Poll [13 Aug 2007|10:40pm]
It's Edwards, Obama, Kucinich in California Dem Council Straw Poll

From Erin Flynn

Here are the results of the presidential straw poll held today in Los Angeles at the California Democratic Council's (CDC) annual convention:

Edwards 41%
Obama 14%
Kucinich 11%
Clinton 8%
Richardson 6%
Biden 0%
Dodd 0%
Gravel 0%
Undecided 20%

For those not familiar with the CDC, membership in the CDC consists of the Democratic clubs throughout the state, County Central Committees, Young Democrat and College Democratic Clubs, as well as a number of ex-officio members.

Ay, but look what just surfaced tonight (August 15th):

Delegates who attended the convention are saying "What straw poll?" It seems only the Edwards people even saw the straw poll. One delegate thinks the straw poll was part of the business they never got to because they ran out of time.

Leave it to the Edwards people to publicize a fraudulent poll. They were probably the only voters and some of them voted for DK.

A big clue that the sample was small or non-existent is that several candidates were at 0%. If it were a real poll with more than a handful of voters, everyone candidate would have gotten something, even if that something were a fraction of a percent.

Truthdig - Reports - Kucinich Calls Out Clinton’s Nuclear Blunder [13 Aug 2007|01:25am]
Kucinich Calls Out Clinton’s Nuclear Blunder

Posted on Aug 11, 2007

By Kasia Anderson

A year ago, Hillary Clinton said she “would certainly take nuclear weapons off the table” when it came to confronting Iran about its expanding nuclear program. That comment contrasts conspicuously with her more recent statement, on Aug. 2, in response to fellow Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s similar statement that nuclear weapons were “not on the table” for him in a hypothetical discussion about targeting terrorists in Pakistan and Afghanistan. “Presidents should be careful at all times in discussing the use and nonuse of nuclear weapons,” Clinton countered later that same day. “Presidents since the Cold War have used nuclear deterrents to keep the peace, and I don’t believe any president should make blanket statements with the regard to use or nonuse of nuclear weapons.”

Rest of article...Collapse )

BTW: I'm new. Who's looking after this community nowadays?

Dennis Kucinich is our best choice for 2008! [11 Apr 2007|11:37am]

[ mood | excited ]

I know this community is old, but since Dennis Kucinich is campaigning for President again, I thought I'd revive it.

He is by far my favorite candidate and he doesn't have enough funding to make his voice heard so I think we need to get as many people as possible to join and help make others know him. He is a great candidate and he has wonderful ideas and many people would agree with him if they got a chance to know who he is and what his platform is.

So I hope that you will join me in trying hard for him, and get more people to join this community.

For starters, I'll post the link to his new web page:

And MoveOn.org did a virtual town hall with all the democratic candidates last night. Here's how it went:

cast your vote for dennis! [13 Jan 2004|11:07pm]

[ mood | hopeful ]

please cast your vote for kucinich in this msnbc.com poll.

since msnbc is a major media outlet, i think it would be good for the kucinich campaign if all of his supporters cast their votes and got his numbers up (right now he isn't doing so well in this poll) - then maybe msnbc would give dennis more coverage. certainly couldn't hurt...

Hi guys I was just thinkin last night (in my 4am mind adventures), and came up with a great idea.

Print out a buncha documents like Kucinich's 10 points (or any one you like the most) and then wake up in the morning, and put them in peoples newspapers. I thought you could also put them in peoples windsheild if you live near a mall, or other places with alota cars in a parking lot.
